Our team are highly trained in many areas and are happy to look after your general health and more specific requirements. We are dedicated to listening to you, discussing your physical and mental concerns in an honest and open fashion. We will provide you with up to date, evidence-based medical advice to make informed choices when it comes to managing your health.

For many years the practice has been involved in the education of GP trainees with Kieran and Kate being GP trainers with The RCSI and North Eastern Regional GP training schemes. More recently Kate has become involved as a trainer with the Rural GP Training Programme as well as the Community Paramedic Programme. In addition we are sometimes involved in the training of Nurses.
Prescribers and undergraduate medical students. As a training practice we therefore have students on placement in the practice who may request to observe your consultation as part of their curriculum. You will always be advised in advance if a student is present and invited to consent or decline a student observing.
Dr. Kate Reilly
Kate originally qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist from Trinity College Dublin (TCD) in 1989 before returning to study medicine as a mature student, graduating again from TCD in 2001. She immediately completed her post graduate GP training with the North Eastern Regional Training Programme where she is now herself a GP trainer. Kate has been a GP Partner / Co- owner of Family Practitioners since 2007.
Kate has completed additional diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics,
Diabetes Management and Sport and Exercise Medicine. She also holds the European Certificate in Essential Palliative Care. Outside the practice she works in Event medicine in a variety of Sporting and Music Events. She is also an occasional lecturer / tutor with the UCD Centre for Emergency Medical Sciences.
Kate’s areas of special interest include Sports Injuries, Emergency Medicine, Women’s Health,
Mental Health/Psychiatry, Medicine for the Elderly and Paediatrics.
When not working Kate enjoys running, swimming, sea kayaking, hiking and is an amateur goldsmith.

Dr. Kieran Fulcher

Kieran qualified in medicine from UCD in 1990 and became a founding partner of family
practitioners in 1994.
He has a DCH (diploma in child health) from UCD and Diploma in Sports Medicine from RCSI
He has a keen interest in GP training and has been a trainer on the RCSI GP training scheme since
2007.
When not working Kieran enjoys golfing, watching rugby and travelling.

Dr Nasreen Mohamed
MBBS (Sudan), Family Medicine Diploma (Sudan), AMC (Australia).
Born in Sudan, with years of experience in Saudi Arabia and now Ireland, Dr Nasreen Mohamed
combines global expertise with a fresh approach to family care. Known for her warm style and out-of-the-box thinking, she’s passionate about empowering patients. When not in the clinic, she’s busy exploring new cultures and cuisines.

Nurse Ruth McElroy

Ruth (RGN, RCN, RPN, RANP) joined the practice in January 2024. She has 20 years’ experience as a registered nurse. She originally qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) from University College Galway, working on an acute medical admission ward in University Hospital Galway. She then gained experience working as an agency Staff Nurse in Our Lady Hospital Navan, where she found her passion for Emergency Nursing. She completed a Higher Diploma in Children’s Nursing and took a post as a Staff Nurse for seven years in the Emergency Department of, the then, Temple Street Children’s Hospital, now known as Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street. She continued to build her theoretical knowledge and clinical expertise undertaking further education and training within different roles in Temple Street; as Locum Resuscitation Training Officer for the hospital and as Clinical Education Facilitator for the Emergency Department. She enjoys providing clinical education to all grades of healthcare staff. She undertook training to become an instructor for both Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support courses. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Emergency Nursing (Children’s) in Dublin City University. Then went on to successfully complete her Master’s in Advanced Practice in University College Dublin and worked as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner caring for children with injuries presenting to the Emergency Department Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street and the Urgent Care Centre Children’s Health Ireland at Connolly.
She has and is still occasionally travelling to Uganda as part of the teaching faculty with the PAIRS group, developing paediatric resuscitation training capacity in resource challenged healthcare settings. The PARIS group just won the Cross Border Initiative/International Collaboration of the Year award at the 2024 Irish Healthcare Awards.

Nurse Claire Reynolds

Approachable and practical generally trained nurse with many years experience working in the busy Acute Hospital setting as both staff nurse and Clinical Nurse Manager on an acute medical unit. Developed a keen interest in family care since having 3 children of her own. When not in work enjoys running and horse riding when she is not busy with the kids.

Nurse Nina Farrell,
RGN, RNP,
BSc Nursing, Dip in Mgt, Post Grad. Dip Practice Nursing
Nina trained in Beaumont/DCU in General Nursing and qualified in 2002. Following on from her BSc in Nursing she further developed her knowledge and expertise by undertaking a Diploma in Management (NCI). Working in a busy Neurology department for a number of years, here she honed a keen interest in chronic illness and disease.
Nina then took the decisive step into community and primary care, working as Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) for a time, before progressing her career to General Practice Nursing. She qualified with distinction awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Practice Nursing in the Royal College of Surgerons. Nina was honoured to be the first recipient of the prestigious Rose Lanigan Medal in Practice Nursing.
With over 20 years experience in Primary and Secondary care, she settled in Primary Care, where nurse Nina is most at home.
Nina possesses a keen interest in female health, diabetes, elderly care, chronic disease and its management. Nina further progressed her career by qualifying as a Nurse Prescriber .Using this new skill to enhance patient care, increase patient satisfaction and overall provide a complete episode of care to our patients.

Phlebotomist Tina Ball

​Tina gained a wealth of experience working for many years as the main Medical Secretary/Receptionist for a GP Practice in Navan. Then she decided to expand to the clinical area and trained as a phlebotomist. She has been a valuable member of our team working with us as a phlebotomist since 2020. She is heavily involved with community programs in her local area both in sports and music.
